Probably Ableton Live is your best bet for doing this, as it is very flexible in mapping MIDI onto commands for clip triggering, and staying locked to MIDI clock, etc.
Plus, it's an amazing tool for any kind of loop production or interactive MIDI and audio. A bit overkill for your simple needs right now, but it will keep up with any future demands as you find out how easy it is to do a variety of different things.
