How can I modify and save within a patch the settings the sound palette modifies? They're the only things I can't find in the patch editing screens, and resetting them every time - especially getting the attack and decay just right - is a complete pain in the butt.

I understand the sound palette is a live control feature of the XP.

Also, if you're recording on an internal or external sequencer when you alter the sound palette it will be recorded in the song data.

Otherwise, I haven't found a way myself of altering patches using the sound palette as opposed to the patch editor on these synths.

Anything the sound palette can do, the editing screens can do. You have to do it that way though, because changes made using the palette will not save; The palette is only for realtime application.
