Anybody know if the Yamaha mfc10 pedal board works with keyboards, (like changing variations, fills in's, registrations etc...)
esp. the Tyros2?

Any help appreciated,
SHIM

Yes SHIM. It will do all of those things.. I used one for a long time with T1 and 2, until I ruined it trying to make it do something it wasn't designed to do.

In the T2 manual..it shows the MFC10 and even has all the data on what it can do.
Do you not have a manual? If not you can download one from Yamaha site.

I tried one and it was too "FOOT CONFUSING" with all those small buttons and dumped it quick as I am not a big proponent of pedals anyway....but, I'd suggest you try one before you buy.

Main thing is, it's a generic MIDI controller, made by Yamaha for several different things. If Yamaha's preset pedal assignments aren't to your taste, you may have quite a job reassigning them.

BTW, Donny doesn't even use a SUSTAIN pedal, for Pete's sake! Advice on this subject from him is like asking a blind man to pick a color for your music room...

does it have a manual on how to program it for general keyb. functions? I don't know much about "midi channels" etc...

BTW, the MFC10 has no support for PSR keyboards. Try it if you're a Tyros user but not if you're a PSR user.

I'd love to see a one piece three footswitch + 1 pedal unit.

All those buttons do get the foot confusing - especially if you play standing up.

Beaky... Does that mean that there are NO MIDI hooks into the PSR's arranger controls, or just that no-one has made an MFC-10 template, yet..?

The first would rule this out, the second would simply make it possible, but probably a difficult task if you are not much 'into' MIDI codes and the like...
