I am using the 2080 to playback midi sequences.

Is there any way that I can put a rhythm set (drumkit) onto anything but
part 10 (midi 10).

So that I could trigger bass drum on 10 with own effx / snare on eleven etc.

Bbaiscally, can I use two differnet drum kits - one on midi 10 the other on 1.....9
11.....16?

In a word..no. Unfortunately the 2080 only has one Rhythm channel. The 5080 on the other hand has 32 possible Rhythm channels. The best you can do is select one of those multi snare patches on another channel while the main kit is on channel 10

YES you can have Rhythm Sets on any or all Performance Parts/MIDI Channels if you like.
However, you must have a Patch-Mode Rhythm Set, such as is found on most of the Expansion Boards such as the Pop, B&D, etc.
