Love this board inspite of it's size & weight.
Drums & styles are great. However, whenever I turn on this board & access the mp3s on the external memory it takes many minutes to read them. I have around a hundred mp3s on the memory. Same thing if you switch to style or song mode & you come back to mp3 player , it'll do the same process again. This is not acceptable on live situation where you switch back & forth on different modes. Is there a way to get around with this?
Thanks
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,
it seems to me that there is something wrong with your Keyboard or CF-Card. I have 120 mp3 on SanDisk Ultra II CompactFlash (15 MB/s). All songs are ready to play in a few seconds.
Greetings
Rolman

I also cannot replicate this problem.

I would try reformatting the card and copying the MP3s back to it. Or try another card.

I tried another pc card adapter with 4g sd memory, it won't even recognize it.

I reformat the CF card, same thing happen, it takes a while to scan the mp3s.

Fran advised me to create playlists. It load faster but still not fast enough for quick mode changing during live performance. I do usually dances & ballroom situation.

Thanks folks for your help.

Hi Jimmy,
Read this:
"• The E-80 can use commercially available CompactFlash and Smart-Media memory cards. You can purchase such cards at a computer
shop or digital camera dealer.
• Memory cards you purchase must meet the following conditions.
• Power supply voltage: 3.3V
• Capacity: 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB (2GB and 4GB only with Microdrive)
• The E-80 cannot use cards of types other than the above."

Additional to this 2GB SanDisk Ultra II CompactFlash can be used with E80 Version 2.
