I cannot get sound diver to find the jv1010. i have tried manually setting the midi out channel etc, but i get an error saying no sys ex comes back.... my only guess is that there is a switch to turn on receipt of sys ex...but how to use it?? any help?

Well, I'm quite new to this technology so maybe my answer can be a bit trivial: I could force SoundDiver to recognize my JV1010 only when it was connected via the serial port (It faild to work when it was connected to the midi interface in my SoundCard)
Hope it helps, and sorry if no. ran@www5.huji.ac.il

OK you need to make sure that sound diver
Is using the right midi port, so go to control panel system multimedia and set the default midi to whatever ever port the JV1010 is using i.e. SBlive midi out etc.

Now if the driver doesn’t pick up your JV1010 right away push the value control a couple of times until you are in performance mode. The click on rescan, if you have already passed the rescan option, go to windows1, open memory manager and everything should be OK. If not come on back and I’ll rethink.
