The drums do not have a separate, global EQ, however, you can go into individual styles and EQ various aspects of the style, including the drums, then save the information either to a custom style, or to a registration, whichever you prefer. If I recall correctly, the S910 added a drum kit or two, and the drums do seem a bit hotter than those on the PSR-3000 and S-900. You can also tune the keyboard's 5-band, global EQ and set certain frequencies that will enhance sounds in the drum's frequency range, but it will also have some effect on other instruments (voices) within that same frequency range. Hope this helps, Gary

I would say that all the Tyros, each in their own time, were the Top of the Line(1 &2) and the current model is the Tyros3, therefore, have more features like sounds, styles, drum kits and in the cases, new technologies like the SuperArticulation (1st. generation)introduced in the Tyros2, and now the Super Articulation 2 in the new Tyros3.
Have established that the Tyros are the Top of the line, their smaller models counterparts:
Previous Generations Tyros1 - PSR 3000 Tyros2 - PSR S900 Digital Audio recorder was introduced in the T2-S900
Current models Tyros3 - PSR S910
Yamaha Added one more overdubbing Audio track in the T3 and now can also expand to more S.A.2 sounds like the new Trombone, Pan Flute, etc.
Hope it helps.

As mdorantes explained, there have been improvements, however, the basic operating system is the same in the Tyros series as it is in the PSR and PSR-S series. Consequently, the workarounds are the same as well. Good Luck, Gary
