Hey ya'll.....I've got a really stupid question........ and ya'll are prob. gonna laugh at me, but please try to help me out here. I have an XV-88, and I am wanting to play some organ sounds.... like for gospel and country-rock music(you know, fast gospel organ kinda stuff) but I'm having a problem..... I have no idea what kind of organ that would be, and seeing there are about 25-30 organs on the XV, I'm having a tough time working with them to get one that sounds right. If ya'll could help me by maybe telling me what kind of organ this would be (maybe even a specific patch on the XV) that would be great........ also what kind of effects should be running??? Rotary, EQ's, Chorus, Reverb, Delay, or what??? and if you can help there maybe you could even list some specific parameter settings.... rotary speed, chorus depth, stuff like that. I know this probably sounds pathetic, but I have no exp. with organs...... so I have no clue where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated

Hey KF. When I think of Gospel music, I think of the "Ballad B" organ sound. In fact, there is a patch in the XP/JV/XV sound set called Ballad B. I think it's somehwere in the Preset bank A in the 50s somewhere.

I don't have my keyboard next to me. However, check out that preset called "Ballad B". I'm pretty sure that there are going to be some more presets with that sound and feel in the XV banks (Banks F-H) and in the GM2 bank.
