Thanks! It works )
but...can anyone explain this strange thing. When I record I hear another sound, or some times two suounds (for instance the sound (bass guitar) I want to record with and a piano). But when i listen to the recording it sounds just fine, with the right sound (bass guitar).

OK, I understand. I use only my XP-80 as sound sourse, so if I turn off the volume I want hear what I'm playing. But I will try your trick with recording only a measure at the beginning, and then start over again.

By the way...how do you record onto cakewalk? How did you hook up your xp to the computer? I've been trying to figure this out. How do you record each seperate track on the xp onto seperate tracks in cakewalk using MIDI? Maybe you can help...
