My JV1080 has a gremlin in it! I've noticed that some of the preset and user patches, in particular the acoustic and bass guitars, brass and woodwind patches now have added vibrate which was NOT programmed into the origional sound! It's only been present for the last couple of weeks. This is also the case for the same sounds in my performance set ups. I have tried everything except reinitialising the whole unit because then I would lose all my precious data! Some of the patches (like Rotary guitar) have also gone up a semitone in pitch! What's happening? Any help would be appreciated.

However, I'm willing to track down a memory card to do this as the last option!!!! if this is the case then what is the easiest way to bulk copy all my user patches and performances from the internal memory to the card? I've got the manual lying about somewhere but can't find it at the moment!

This may or may not help. On my XP50 and XP60, sometimes when you stop a song midway, the controllers on the unit are left at a stand still and need to be reset.

When the controllers are left at a stand still, there will be some unexpected vibrato and aftertouch left on some parts and some tones may play a half step up if pitch bend data has been left hanging.

On the XP, all we have to do is press [Shift] and [Undo] and the MIDI controllers will reset themselves. I'm not sure if this works the same on your unit. Look in your manual.

If worst comes to worst, I would highly recommend that you get a memory card or a computer program that would allow you to store your stuff somewhere. You would need this despite your problem. Then do and entire reset.
