I just got a JV 1010, and am planning to use it for a production this weekend together with a 1080 and an XP-50.

The user manual clearly states that you can program patches into the user bank, but doesn't say how to do it. I admit I haven't read every page of the manual, but I've skimmed through it several times.

You'd think that would be something that would be explained. Is it possible using the face of the module, or do you have to use the editing software that came with it?

All I want to do is move some patches from the other banks into the user bank so the sounds I need will be next to each other. That is such a basic function, I can't believe I'm having to search the internet to figure it out. Can anyone help??

You can't move patches into user memory using the front panel. You'll have to use SoundDiver (or other editing software) to perform this.
