If the company goes down, even IF you can still get PC parts, who's going to troubleshoot it? Who's going to let you know WHICH computer part you need? The Geek Squad at Best Buy?
If this isn't all the proof we need that basing your sales strategy around über-expensive high end niche products in a global meltdown is just plain suicide, I don't know what is... (you taking notice NOW, Ketron?)
Wersi had amortized their R&D in OAS YEARS ago, and could easily have brought out product that brought its' great integration with arranger and VSTi (far better than the MS's) quicker and cheaper than the new Pegasus. But greed and bad management have precipitated this. And no amount of Brett Wales demos are going to be able to fix this...
It's easy, folks... first one to the gate with an arranger/VSTi hybrid that DOES address what arranger players REALLY want affordably is going to clean up. And the rest will all be 'whatever happened to...?'
