I'm thinkig of getting an XP-10 for the 80's coverband. We don't play techno or house or any new stuff. Im useing an Ensoniq EPS and want someting without disks. I hate haveing to load an operating system then my sounds. The have it crash during a show and do it all over. We're not some big band with a ton of gear so Im thinking $499 sounds good. All i would need is some synthy strings, bells, piano, organ and some weird sounds to get by. Hows the arpeggiator? Never had one on a keyboard but seems fun to play with.

Thanks
Andy

For that price get the Korg N5. It has more awesome sounding synth pads, and pianos that 80's band used. Remember M1, DW8000, most of the band from the 80's used Korg. XP10 is just like a general midi synth. Unlike it's big brother ie, xp60, xp80, and the super jv series.
