Well, the whole point that I was getting at was that I think Roland was using this as a marketing getup rather becuase it was already present on the XP/JV line. It just wasn't talked about.
There are a total of five controller sliders on the Roland XP60/80. Each controller can control four destinations. That makes up a complex 20 routed matrix. Follow me?
One controller could be used to control Reverb, Attack, Resonance and Phaser for example. Imagine taking advantage of this with all five sliders. Everything could be routed everywhere. On the other hand, I don't think that the XP/JV line used this to it's advantage.
I think that this feature may have been more useful is Roland included 3 FX processors on the Roland XP60/80. Why did Roland leave this out? The JV2080 has three processors and cost way less than the XP series.
