just got the unit...love it except that i cant get the unit to turn on and off with the footswitch jack. i even tried a polarity switching damper pedal that i use...making the connection with the tc helicon off. it wont switch the harmonies on and off.
For all of you users out there...is there something dumb i'm not doing right...or did you all get the 3 button switch from tc helicon?
Thanks!

I use a standard, sustain pedal that came with one of my Yamaha PSR keyboards many years ago--it works just fine. It's just a momentary switch in the pedal--nothing fancy. Make sure the plug on the foot-switch is a mono plug--not a stereo connection.

Are you able to turn the harmony on and off using the built-in switch?

Cheers,

Gary

Mine works fine with an ordinary foot switch.
Seems like I tried a few that wouldn't work though. I finally got one that had a polarity switch on it.
Haven't used it for a while since I now have two keyboards with built-in vocal processing and harmonizer. I love the Harmony M though.

Almost forgot. If the foot switch is not plugged in during power-up, the Harmony M will not recognize it. It must be plugged in before turning the unit on.

hi guys...thanks for input...

i tried it with 3 damper pedals that i have...
roland, yamaha, and a generic one that has polarity switching.
i connected all with the tc helicon off....
its supposed to turn the right-most button on and off isn't it? it doesn't do that.
harmony m switches fine if i step on the unit itself tho.
is it possible mines broken?
seems like a dumb thing to have a problem with.

You may want to try a system reset, which may help. This is down by holding down the Manual and Voice2 buttons while powering up. Hold them down for at least three seconds, after which the Harmony M should boot normally.

it's entirely possible that you have a defective unit, however, I'm still putting my money on the foot switch(s).
