It's Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve today. Tomorrow will be the start of the Year of the Tiger. But all I care for is my 12 days off and spending all day with my wife and kid.
Well, last year definitely WASN'T Tiger's year, maybe this one will be better for him
The only way we get 12 days off, here in the 'free' world, is to get laid off with no notice by a club who's owner decides he wants to save costs for a quiet spell.
Anyway, Happy New Year, Taike!

Taike, I'm celebrating twice tonite. Ater my first job, I'm going to visit friends who own Mandarin Cafe; then on to my good friend George Wei's restaurant, Asian Wind. He's the friend who frequently goes home to Taiwan; the guy I'm hoping to go with next year to visit you guys.
I can only stay a few minutes at each place because of my late job, but I'm honored each year to be invited to these events, which happen after the restaurant closes, in Georges case. He invites his friends, and we sit at one huge table with all of his family and employees.
