hey I am just getting started with a Jv1010 and want some thoughts on getting the correct software for the computer to edit with and also wanted to know with software can you create your own sounds. For example on preset E no 31 "desertCrystl" I just love the Sound but would like to change the Guitar to a grand piano. Is this possible?

Thanks for the help!

Oh yes it's all possible, You can create your own sounds, well sort of. Basically you start with a waveform. You can use up to four waveforms per patch. There are (I think) three banks of waveforms in the JV1010. The Preset A, Preset B and the waveforsm on the delivered Session card.
You can mix em up any way you want applying various parameters to each waveform.

And you can also change that Preset E bank patch youlike, but you have to store you edited version in the User bank.

The JV1010 ships with a version of SoundDiver for XP/JV synths. I'm using the same software for my XP-80. I don't know how to get a copy though.

Best wishes

Bob
