Okay, you lazy bums! (Whining voice)- "I need an external EQ to make my Bass Drums sound meatier", "I need my snares to sound less thin", "I need to take a shower".

I'm sick of hearing you all complain about stuff like that. Start digging deeper into your JV/XP. The S&S engine is extremly powerful when compared to the new XVs and the the old JVs.

TIP 1:Want more "Umph" on a kick. Go to the damn TVF menu and select [LPF] as the [Filter Type]. Turn the [Cutoff Frequency] to a value lower than 100. Forget about the [Resonance] setting. Leave that to 0.

TIP 2:Want a fatter snare? Follow the same instructions and instead, use the [BPF] filter.
