Hi. Can anyone please tell me where I can download Ian McNeil's 'freestyle' for the PSR S900/S910? An article in the latest Keyboard Player magazine says that it's freely available via the YPKO website, but i've looked on there and cannot find it.

Hi,LC,

What is it for, an S900 or S910?

You can download here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/116313437/77e51bbb/Freestyle4S725.html

And here it is with some demos, midi and mp3.

I think they'll both work in S900/S910.

Ian

Many thanks!! I currently have an S900 and a PSR2000 (2 different venues). I'm going to keep the S900 and replace the 2000 with an S910 so I'd like the freestyle for both. I've downloaded them both and will try them in due course.

Thanks again!

Really excellent, Ian! Although Yamaha arrangers have long had the "stop accompaniment" feature (which allows you to play arranger chords in a left-hand voice with automatic root bass), this goes waaay beyond that! There is none of the awkward silence between chords, and all chord types are available. Your Freestyle is great for traditional liturgical music, or really any song where there is no well-defined rhythm.

IMO, Yamaha is missing a market opportunity by not making "Ethereal Movie" and similar styles available for purchase. Thanks so much for sharing this! -Ted

Thanks very much for the kind words, guys...I'm glad the style will be handy for you.

I actually made the style several months before the Tyros3 was introduced...I had been working on it for awhile, and one day, it all sort of came together.

It started out as a piano type style on the PSR-2000's included style disk.

Ian
