OK, I'm new here, so don't flame me.

I'm looking for a patch for a solo violin. I've tried creating one, but it sounds pretty crappy. Has anyone come up with one that you could e-mail to me?

I don't have the orchestra expansion board yet, is there a good one on there?

Sorry the problem is down to the wave form, which isn't so hot... I think you will find a better one on the orchestra board but from what I've heard it sounds OK in the mix but not so great solo, if you have a SBLive or something soundfonts might be a better way to go for solo orchestral instruments.

Thanks, I think I'll be buying that pretty soon. I'm pretty much at the end of my rope trying to create one.

BTW, does anyone have the vocal board? How is it?

I you have use for a lot of good choir sounds and jazz "scats", the Vocal board is wonderful. If not, don't bother with it because that's all you get. There are no trendy vocal phrases ("rock the house" or "go", for example) and such that you hear in dance music (who needs those anyway, eh?), by the way.

Choir sounds are what I'm after. I think I'll go for it.
