I will be recording a very techie metal band next week. they like to play w/ a click, no problem. My normal method is to find the tempo on the XP80 an d record the clicks into Samplitude.

WEll, its not so easy w/ these clown, as they require several BPM changes per song. I have never done this before.

Can some give me a real quick crash course in the best way to achieve this?

Construct a dummy (blank) song with the same number of measures of the song these, mm, clowns will be recording. Then in Microscope Mode, enter Tempo Change messages wherever you want the tempo to change.

I've never worked with the Click Out feature, but presumably it will change tempo along with the song itself. Try it.
