HI:
I've been a long time visitor of this forum and have enjoyed the many spirited discussions about Arrangers. Two years ago I switched from Tenor Sax to Keyboard. My first purchase was the Yamaha PSR 500. After a year of teaching myself this new instrument and being totally obsessed with playing keyboard I decided to invest in a better one.
I spent several months reading and trying to play the obvious candidates. I would have loved to have auditioned a Roland G70 since many here love that item but could not find one anywhere. So it came down to the T3 and the Korg PA2xPro. I was only able to play the PA 800 but that gave me a good idea of the capability. It was back and forth between the T3 and the Korg for a while. Being a sax player and an acoustic guy the T3 won out in the end. And like many here Fran at AudioWorks gave me a great deal. Although it would be nice to have both.
So for the last year I have been having a great time with the T3. Here's one of my compositions that shows the great sax sound:
http://www.box.net/shared/27gof6xvbr I find the T3 a wonderful compositional tool. It's so easy to get inspired and make a recording. I am not a gigging musician, those days are in the past. Now I just want to play for myself, my friends and family and write songs that I can share.
BTW, I currently use Yamaha MSP5s Studio Monitors I purchased last year but I am looking to upgrade those and will be selling them. I also would like to buy the Motif Rack XS and use the T3 as a MIDI controller but I haven't yet figured out the best way to do this or even how to do this. If anyone has done this I'd like to hear your experiences.
Well enough for a first post.
Joe
