Hello,
I have an XV-5080, and am using the Super Sound Set board to create custom patches. I have successfully created 4 tone patches that are very realistic to the reed instruments in the accordion family. The note response is a problem when any notes are played even one octave below the sampled frequency. This slow response renders much of the keyboard useless. The XV-5080, to the best of my knowledge does not allow for a skew of the sample start time, as it is taken from the SR-JV80-07 (Super Sound Set). Can anyone please give me a viable solution so that I can use even one octave below the sampled frequency without compromising response? I do not want to sample all of the patches and have to reload them in the miniscule 128M of RAM space. This would be a years worth of futile attempt.
Thank you so much!

Hi,

It sounds like what you are experiencing is not related to the synth at all, but is the slight amount of delay in the original waveform before the note fully "sounds".
On the ROM waveforms you can't edit the Start, Loop, etc. times, so the only method you have is to sequence the notes and then slide them a few ticks. This technique is also used a lot on strings.
