I've been following the NAMM summersession expo reviews on harmony central, yet there's no sign that roland will release any new srjv80 or srx expansionboard.. or is there?

No, didn't see anything on this.

Unofficial word from a Roland clinician a month or so ago was that new boards were rumored to be in the works, and expected at next winter NAMM.

No, he didn't say (tell? know?) what boards are in development, tho' he said he's wishing there was a guitar-only and horn-only JV/XV board.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a RAM JV board: I can't imagine Roland putting that much effort into supporting the older JV's, esp. with SRX around the bend. Great idea, but probably mentioned 5 years too late for it to be marketable.

Hopefully Roland will prove me wrong at next summer NAMM.
