I thought the sounds were very average....when comparing to a 10 year old keyboard

This company has to improve in the sound department...I didn't notice what price range it is marketed...

It doesn't seem able to compete with even the newer Casio models (sounds)....maybe even the Yamaha is better..

Hopefully the recordings did not fare well..and the instrument does sound better..

Keystar uses Livestyler as its arranger software, so the sounds are probably Soundfonts.

Load in some VSTi or connect an SD2, (Livestyler is mapped for it) and the sounds should move to a whole new level.
