Okay guys, what I suggest is this, let NONE of us post any further comments or instructionals in this arranger forum about the Media Station.

Let us stick to the Lionstracs forum and constructively discuss the good, and the not so good aspects of the MS, and where it can be improved.

We have taken the horses to the water, but they are refusing to drink, so let them die from lack of water.

Dennis

Good idea. Those that are interested can follow things there, and maybe those that really aren't interested won't be tempted to agitate.
I'm not interested really, but I like to keep abreast. Don't care enough to agitate!

Let them die for lack of water???? That’s just a bit harsh don’t you think Dennis? Not so long ago you threw out the same water that we are hesitant to drink didn’t you? At least wait until you get your MS back, have upgraded it, debugged it if necessary and are completely satisfied with it before you start insulting people because they remain sceptical. It was partly your own experience with the MS that has contributed to the wariness here when Dom made the same promises he is making now which you felt at the time the instrument did not live up to before you sold it. He made similar promises 7 years ago and every year after that! You gotta admire his pluck really ha ha !! Maybe he has got his act together this time and James is doing a sterling job with the MS but that has not always been the case. Now maybe the MS was working fine all along and it was just user error that made it sound so bad in arranger style , i dont know but you have to agree from the demos in the past, it did look bad didnt it (doesnt it ). Thats not our fault. Noone asked for Liontracs to come on an arranger forum and tout their wares . That was their choice.

I joked with you a while back when you said that the MS would be the last hardware keyboard you would buy again ....just before you sold it :-).It was said in good spirit and i say this in the same spirit ... Hopefully this time it truly will be your last hardware keyboard. And i am not hoping you will die of thirst before you buy another one :-)

Just relax mate. You have no enemies here.

Yeah fair enough, good call Spalding...perhaps a bit harsh

But I still think all the tech and operational discussions should be kept to the Lionstracs forum.

At least that way Dom can keep control of the agitators as Don so eloquently put it .

He is a moderator on that forum .

Hi Minden,
I thought your post was rather Harsh, tarring everyone with the same brush,so I agree totally with Spaldings reply, which was fair and accurate, but I also give you full credit for your reply and agree that future operational and development issue be kept to the lionstracs Forum,to which I will follow with interest.

Gilbert.

And the Lionstracs forum here at Synth Zone is protected from posts that would detract
from being constructive discussion. That is why I ended up moving one of James' threads from here to there.

You just have to understand that this General Arranger forum is open for everyone to jump in and say their piece ... which as you have noticed they certainly do

I don't know, I'd be more inclined to stick it out and help people see the truth no matter how difficult it is to listen to all the skewed view comments. I think the amount of work done so far has really changed things significantly and people are finding this all extremely interesting.

The argument has been reduced now to just people wanting to hear it producing styles which is a far cry from what it used to be. In time that box will be ticked off too so I think we are making great progress.

Regards
James

That is dead on, James...we have all been made aware that the Mediastation is an incredible instrument when it comes to playing VST's etc.

It's the claim that it will easily play a converted style "better than the original instrument" that seems to be in question.

So far, it hasn't quite met those claims, and I, for one, would like to see if they can be substantiated.

With your extensive experience regarding instruments at this level, you, if anyone, should be able to showcase this feature.

Ian
