Warning: If the f-word offends, do not listen to this.

OTOH, if it does not, spend 11 minutes of your life and listen to this! Hahahaahaha... if you play solo, you will be reminded of why you do.

Unbelievable. Plus, it's like they actually tried to see how many times they can say the f-word. It gets better as it goes along, from a bit of a boring start.

Having trouble with this link... hope it works... is this link working?

What a HOOT! I think, in my less than coherent days, I've had that same conversation a bunch of times!

Now what would I learn or benefit by listening to this? Did I miss something.

Uh, John, it reminds some of us that there is much in-fighting and b.s. that goes with being in a band. If this is really the Troggs, of "Wild Thing" fame, I find it hilarious. I mean, it's so STOOPID, it's funny. Then again, Russ and I might be warped.

EDIT: Apparently, it's real! From wikipedia:

An in-studio tape of Reg Presley's running commentary on a recording session, filled with in-fighting and swearing (known as "The Troggs Tapes") was widely circulated in the music underground, and was included in the Archaeology box set. The in-group infighting is believed to be the inspiration for a scene in the comedy film This Is Spinal Tap where the band members are arguing. Some of this dialogue was sampled by the California punk band The Dwarves on their recording of a cover version of the Troggs song "Strange Movies".

Let's face it, pop music doesn't always need rocket scientists to make it! Sometimes four morons is all you need...

And thank God for that, because rocket scientists don't make much good music! Too busy talking about whether they need a sharper curve on the shoulder of the midrange band of the EQ on the glockenspiel part to realize they don't need a glockenspiel at all! They need a moron pounding on a Gibson through a Marshall at 11.

In the immortal words of Spinal Tap... "There's a fine line between clever and... stupid!"

Been there ... done that ... After all the band I play in still plays AC/DC's "Back In Black" in our closing set. The bar crowds love it still.

There's nothing wrong with loud distorted guitar if it's done right lol Though I must admit I can achieve that sound nowadays without being at a deafening volume. And while I do really like hard rock guitar I also love Al DiMeola playing loud distorted guitar ... and moronic is not how I would describe him as he is truly a jazz virtuoso.

Back in the early 80s a synth pop I played with called "the name" http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum35/HTML/001385.html
opened for the Troggs ... they were really, really awful and made us look and sound great. The road crew the Troggs were using even hated them so much that the lighting tech sat at the bar while they played. I asked him if I could operate the lighting desk and he said go ahead. So I actually operated the lighting for the Troggs set. But a very sad set it was.
