I downloaded the program yesterday, had it loaded with playlists, and everything was fine. Today I fire it up and "error cannot load".

Here is what I know:
1. The program comes up with all my playlists.
2. The midi out port isn't the problem
3. Tried rebooting XP netbook

I guess the last thing is removing and starting over.

Bernie, I have used VanBasco for 3 to 4 years, the only problem I have had is when the midi file itself was not good for whatever reason. The same file worked well on the keyboard but not with VanBasco. Sometimes it is the way it was saved or a dozen other reasons that I not know.

I have deleted all those with problems. I find it amazing that the data in a midi file can change the keyboard so much. Not on my Ty3 but when I had the Kn7 the keyboard would not function properly after playing certain midi files.

I did not understand your first statement, 1-The program comes up with all my playlists.

Once in a great while, a midi file will cause the problem to malfunction. It's not often, but when it does it's a real pain in the butt. The only solution, usually, is to reboot the PC.

Bernie, Some thoughts.

1-If you put a Midi file in a folder and then add that file to your Playlist and at a later time you move the file to a different folder it will read “Error can not load”.

2-Whenever I change the key of a song in VanBasco and than press save to file I make sure that the file has the key that I have changed it to is written in the title of the song.

My reason – If I have to reboot VanBasco and somehow I have lost my Playlist, the file name will remind me of the key I changed the song to.

Thanks guys
John, I think you have it. The file in VanBasco is a shortcut, and I must have loaded from my USB stick and then took it out later.

Sorry, nevermind. I used combatibility mode and it's in.
