Hi there , i know it sounds dumb , but i couldn't make it !
i wanted to copy the FX from a patch to the current performance , and like in the book ,
i went to utility , copy , FX , and set the right patch - to temp - but it didn't change the performance FX !
i tried another thing , manually changing fx in the performance , and then after i saved it , using utility , write - it went back to the old FX .
what's the prob ? i'm new to this synth , and i didn't find any solution , i'll appreaciate any help ..
c'ya

With some Roland gear the patches (programs) contain fx that are not available in the performance mode. If this is the case, there's nothing that can be done.

As for writing, did you have the "write enable" switched on?

Maybe you should do it the way it is done in the JV 1080.
You press parameter, then effects, scroll down one time, and then in the "perform efx type" page should be a "source parameter" which says "perform", there you should put the number of the part that have the sound which you want to effect. Then scroll back up and press pallette and look for the part that have that sound and instead of "MIX", set it EFX or PAT, whichever works best.
Hope it helps.
