Hi There,
I found some midi files that changed my module (roland JV1010) to be on "GM" mode. When I export my files to midi (I use cubse) - the midi file doesn't make the module to jump to GM mode. Do you know the way to "tell" the JV to change its mode to GM?
TIA.
Ran

You need to tell the module to go to GM mode using a sysex message, but I don't know what that message is for the 1010. Check your manual (probably in the back, in the sysex address map; it will be listed).

Thanks. I'll try to find it (I thought it is a midi message which works for all instruments)

"GM system on" is a universal non realtime sysex message, and is the same for all synths of all manufacturers.
Some sequencers come with a small MIDI file that will send "GM system on".
The message is F0 7E 7F 09 01 F7
