Hi all
Since I also have been here complaining about my Audya and the support and long wait for parts I thought you should hear this:
Well, looks like Ketron customer support is not so bad after all. As many knows I have had my Audya for almost one year, and have had a lot of issues. My warranty is from Ketron US, as I bought it when I was in the US. To solve the problem has been very difficult and a long wait to get parts. During this time our friend Tony has tried to help to solve my Audya problems, but no luck. Then he told the story about my Audya to Ketron UK, they forwarded it to Ketron Italy. Ketron responded to it at once by e-mailing me. After a few e-mails telling about my problems, Ketron told me they wanted to send me new all boards (SB, MB, some other board) +HD free of charge. All parts were shipped to the Norwegian distributor, that was very helpful and shipped it to me. All was done in a week, and my Audya was up and running in no time. I also got the offer to bring my Audya to the service senter for free repair, but this is quite far from me. This is exactly how good customer support should work. Why Ketron US distributor CMC couldn't do it this way is my question. Both Frank, my dealer, and AJ asked for this, but no luck. Ketron UK and Ketron NO had nothing to do with my Audya purchase, still they helped out. In my case I think it's not fair blaming Ketron for bad support, when it's the distributor that did a bad job. It looks like it's all up to the distributor, and what they do. My Audya plays fine at the moment, but after a year with problems I need to play it for some time to be sure everything is OK. But thanks to Tony, Ketron UK, Ketron NO, and Ketron IT. for all help.
Regards
skude

looks like none of the grumpy old SZ farts have anything unconstructive to add here. Must be some other band wagon to jump on

Zero replies...funny how nobody is interested in the truth. Well done for being brave enough to post something positive Skude.

Truth... What truth ? The guy has had nothing but problem after problem for over a year.

Sorry but in my book this is unacceptable. He is a customer who owns a premium priced product. KETRON should have bent over backwards on day one to pull out all the stops and get this guy smiling from ear to ear with joy in his purchase.

But what did they do ?....feck all. One year later... ohh Ketrons support is not as bad as we though, it's just the distributor who suck ?

Sorry but that's no excuse and nothing said in his post makes all this right.

Nobody wants to be reading the horror stories we are reading and the never ending wait for OS4.0 to be ""really"" released.

Cheers
James

I fully side with Sharp here. I have owned many a Ketron product in the past and probably the apple does not far from the tree in that the distribution and service in my parts of the world is as bad as the overall approach by Ketron Italy. Added the price of the Audya and all of the problems they encountered I am truly amazed they are still in business. Not for long though I fear.....
Sadly the musician's choice is now limited to basically two major brands , Korg and Yamaha, but on the bright side, these two companies have produced some great keyboards over the last 10 years,so I am not complaining........
