My CVP509 was delivered last week. Every arranger keyboard I've owned up to now always made me wish for a more realistic piano voice. Not anymore. Fantastic piano sound - I often forget I'm not playing a real piano. Plus the finest Yamaha sounds are all here, too...including those delicious SA2 woodwind and brass voices, along with a ton of new "Natural" voices. All this through a tri-amped 16 speaker sound system, string resonance and iAFC. It's truly a joy and pleasure getting lost in the music.

Tim, congratulations on the 509, it's got to be a great machine. I have the CVP 307 and the pianos are outstanding. I have no regrets that I sold my Samick grand a few years ago to buy the 307. The iAFC works well. It's too bad it can't easily transported to gigs.

I know a few entertainers that use their CVPs for nite-club work. It stays on the job and at the end of the night is covered with a special, water-proof, dust-proof cover. They play at the same location every night of the week.
