Can I assign a different output exclusively for the vocalizer without the lead voice? I want the lead voice and the vocals on 2 different channels on my mixer

You can route your mic to the mixer direct, then take an aux send and feed it into the kb vocalizer. Then you have to adjust thye vocalizer for all harmonies and NO lead, and send it to the aux out of the kb.
That's the only way to do it !

I belive what UD means is this:

* Connect your Mic directly to the Mixing board (say on Channel 1).
* Each of the channes of your board should have AUX1, AUX2, AUX3 or a send for each channe. Turn up/activate AUX1 and connect the AUX1 output from the mixer back into the SD1 (you might have to go through a Direct Box so as to get the XLR output into the SD1 or just use a cable that is 1/4" on one end and XLR on the other - since the SD1's vocalizer can only be activated from a signal coming into the XLR MIC1 input).
* Now connect the MIC1 OUTPUT of the SD1 to the Mixing board (say on Channel 2). BUT, go into the VOCALIZER EDIT and turn down the LEAD CHANNEL (which you already capture on Channel 1 of the mixer) and turn up the VOCALIZER (which you now capture on channel 2).
* This way, when you turn up CHANNEL1 on the mixer, you get your clean voice (without effects or harmony from the Vocalizer) and when you turn up CHANNEL2, you get the VOCALIZER with effects etc... from the SD1).

Hope this better explains ... add on UD if I missed something.

Thanks,

AJ

Uncle Dave's solution works great. Sorry I didn't thank you earlier. I had to make a special cord to acheive the desired result. An Aux out on a mixer is usually 1/4". However the mic input on the sd1 requires an XLR Male. Most cables are 1/4" to XLR female, it is hard to find 1/4" to XLR male. I bought the end connectors and built my own cable. sending to vocals to the mixer is as easy as connecting a standard 1/4" to 1/4" from mic output 1 from the sd1 to channel 2 of the mixer. Most mixers have an Aux send volume for each channel it's usually located right under the LOW range volume setting. The send volume must all be at 0 on each channel accept for the microphone channel. This will limit the amount of microphone volume you send to your sd1. Make sure that mic volume in back of the sd1 is also at 0.

It's a very simple way of seperating lead and vocals, but someone had to think about it.

Thanks Uncle Dave!
