It sounds very nice, but do we really need another Motif ?

Whatever happened to Yamaha's innovation?

The Motif is in the same process as the Tyros.. No innovation, only a lot of small updates every few years that in the end make a (much)better instrument..

History tough has proven that as soon as companies stop being innovative this will be the beginning of the end ...

As i said in another post, i feel sorry for the company that once ruled inovation with products like DX7 and VL-1.

LOL No need to feel sorry for Yamaha...They have 47% of the professional workstation market. Korg ruled with the M1 and Triton for a long time and laid an egg with the M3. Roland hasn't had a marque stage unit since the Jupiter days and the D series for a short time. Fantom is the loopers favorite for trance and dance. The Motif X series will be the king of the hill for awhile longer. As well as their Arrangers in the US anyway. Yamaha is a very healthy company. I ride a Yamaha V Star 1300 in whose factory the chromed drum hardware is made.....Yamaha has it going on many fronts. Don't cry for them....LOL

This video kind of shows that Yamaha is going nowhere with their sound and options...

(Tough the flash memmory was a needed update, they'd better had updated the rest of their hardware too)

Not really Bachus. Jammal just didnt find the new sounds in the XF because he didnt know where to look.

All the new sounds are in User bank 1

He has promised to do a new video.

Hi Abacus
Arrangers have more real-time controls when it comes to styles.
Workstations have more real-time controls when it comes to sounds.
Try not to get the two confused.

I suggest you have another look at the demo, and then have a look at the real time controls on an arranger. (It’s like chalk and cheese, in that arrangers have very few real time arranger or sound controls)
Regards

Bill
