I shipped a Technics KN-5000 to a customer and they're saying the "G,B,and D#" keys are not working across all octaves.

I understand if one set doesnt work which might indicate a hit or damage during transit, but the fact that the same keys don't work >>across the board on all octaves<<< seems kind of goofy and I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas what can cause this?

And what a possible solution may be?

Thanks!

Zalmang

Sounds as if one of the connectors (plugs) connecting to the keypad strip may have worked loose in shipment.

Wow that bad news I hope you can get it repaired cheaply enough when they return it to you. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like a good place to start.

Anyone know a good repair/service place in or near OGDEN UTAH (Zip 84404) that I can pay to have a look and (gasp..) even repair it?

Probably smarter and cheaper than shipping it back here, repairing it, then shipping it back to Utah...

Thanks again!
