Listen to this (Start at :032)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amzY937o9wU&feature=related

This is the kind of balanced sound mix I like. I think this is beautiful music...you may not...that's OK by me.

All the instruments are clear, well balanced and not overpowering. Drums are there, clear but not that loud...love that horn! Guitar is nice too!
I think the Tyros drums & Perc. are this good?

Try to not listen to the vocals (Even though there great) Listen to the sounds and arrangement.

Anyone care to try to do this piece as well as can be done on their arranger?
I would love to hear the results.
How will the SA trumpets and Guitars sound on this song?

As soon as I get my PA back up running I'm going to have a go at it. (Just moved).
I'm not the keyoard player most of you are...but this is the stuff I love to play.

Lee S.

Donny,
It would take a little more than a custom style I think...maybe some pre-recorded tracks to play along with??

PS. any new CD's

LOL... to think you will get anywhere near CLOSE to a multi-million dollar film-score production and it's carefully crafted mix by engineers with frickin' Grammy's and Oscar's, for Pete's sake

Sorry, guys, but just about ANY TOTL arranger, used to it's fullest capabilities will get you as close.

That is, nowhere NEAR close!

This quality of production has more to do with the quality of the people playing and engineering it than to the gear they use (which is all incredibly better than any arranger, anyway).

OK, OK, you can get 'close'... But choice of arranger manufacturer won't affect that. Only your ears, your chops and your dedication. And 'close' is going to have to remain a distant second to the real deal.

No, but then again, I've never confused a Hollywood score for an arranger track, so SOMETHING must account for it!

I mean, lasagna is a far more likely reason for the confusion than simply someone mindlessly praising Yamaha for anything they hear, related or not, surely? No-one here would stoop to this, would they?
