yes sir, the one and only Sir Cliff Richard who set out on his career as a popsinger in 1958 with MOVE IT today launched his 50odd new album called BOLD AS BRASS. Hitting 70 on Thursday October 14th he wanted to do something different from all the popsongs that he has recorded in a career spanning more than fifty years. He flew to Nashville where he recorded some great jazz classics with an outstanding big band. He has always been an extremely versatile singer but this is a first even for him.
I realize many USA folks won't know him all that well cause apart from some big hits such as "Devil Woman" and "We don't talk anymore"he never made it big in the States.
He did everywhere else though. As a matter of fact in the UK he has sold more records than ANY other artist, dead or alive, which should be telling.
You can hear trailers of his new album here: http://ie.7digital.com/artists/cliff-richard/bold-as-brass/

Thanks, John. My dad was stationed in Endland in the early 60's, and I got to really like Cliff then. "It's so funny..." was one of my favorites in the US. I believe Cliff had more potential than 90% of the people who made it big in the US. Of course, he enjoys world-wide success...well deserved. Thanks for the "heads up". Another recording I'll order as soon as available.
