I know this should usually go to "the Bar", but I thought, since this is the first time, to my knowledge, that anyone has been able to talk to Chas since he became ill, I'd post here.

Talked to him for about 1/2 hour. He's still in limbo...miserable, with some internal organs that are just not working properly, and pretty frustrated, but doing as well as anybody could in his circumstance.

One thing that's not at all diminished is his appreciation for those who have expressed their wishes for a recovery. He particularly enjoyed a great, funny and sincere note from Tony.

We had a great visit, full of laughter and story telling. He's an all around great guy.

Let's all hope for the best.
