Taken from the YPKO Forum:..

"Hi folks.

I've heard and read a lot of the Tyros 4 VH2. So I decided to do a short demo myself.

This is a quickrecording - everything in one take that is - and it's primarily made as a VH demo

Judge for yourself. VH will never be my friend, but I guess that the VH2 is superior
to the one in Tyros 3
http://www.box.net/shared/skquv18egl

Just for your info this is out of the box VH2 factory settings and
an onboard style.

Hope you like it and I'm so sorry it ends this way........ .

Best regards,

Mike"

The guy did an ok job on the demo, but I can't quite put my finger on what I don't like about the new improved VH.

It certainly sounds usable...and more usable than I found it to be on the T1 and T2's.

This will sound goofy, there's almost an phase or something my ears hear. I'm using digitech vocalists for my harmonizer and the sound, to me,. seems almost more analog or tube like. (I know its not...)

Anyone else understand what I'm saying?

Thanks Donny

For a vocal harmonizer comparison
have a listen to my old 2007 Tyros2 live rendition of the

Too Fat Polka

Yep, I'm hearing it, too. Not sure what it is either, but it sounds unnatural to me.

I liked the song and the VH sounded nice to too.

I did think it sounded a bit odd for a male to sing it though. But I did find other guys have covered this song as well:

Bootlegged studio recordings of the song are found by such artists as Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and The Beach Boys (Keepin' The Summer Alive era). It became a #1 Billboard hit in 1977, launching the career of teen idol Shaun Cassidy. (The words were changed slightly to keep it a boy-girl song.) All-girl rock band The Donnas recorded a version of the song as a single, which was later placed on the 1998 re-release of their 1997 self-titled cd. Other artists who have covered this song include The Carpenters, Jack Nitzsche, Ian Matthews, The Raindrops, Brian Poole and the Tremeloes and The Searchers
