Question please...
When you get a T4...do you get a T3 AND all the additional styles, sounds etc AND do you get all the sounds/styles from the Premium voice packs they sell for the T3? Included Free?

If you don't get the premium voice packs do the ones for the T3 work in the T4? Perfectly withou tweeking?

My understanding is that you do not get the Premium voice packs for free.

The ones from the T3 work properly in the T4. They must be downloaded again and re-registered - all for free.

I heard that the next premium voice pack will be "Vintage keyboards." I don't know if it will work in the T3, probably will.

The answer is no, you don't get them for free. As a matter of fact there are many T1, T2, T3 styles that you don't get in the T4. However, no worries, you can simply download them from the Web and create folders on the T4 hard disk and tweak them till your hearts content. I have thousands of Yammy styles which I have available at a button press.

So much more are available for the T4 than for the Audya and Pa2xpro.

In reality how many styles do you "REALLY" need?

My take is ....the better musician you are the less styles you need.

The less musically talented...(like me) need/want more styles and especially song specific styles. And...to play with MIDI's as well.

If you are playing specific genre of music, you will need MORE styles in that Genre. Right now in the Tyros there are like 2 or 3 Carnival/Calypso/Caribbean styles in the T4. I need styles with a Caribbean feel in ballad, rock, dance, and latin style.

The T4 also needs more contemporary pop styles.

The T4 needs more Contemporary / Smooth Jazz styles.

I'm sure some of our Latin friends will agree the T4 needs more Latin Styles which are missing.

And on, and on, and on, and on......

So...are you saying that Yamaha does not have available all the styles everyone talks about...virtually endless?
I' talking Yamaha built in, Intenet connection and 3rd party styles.

I thought getting styles for a Tyros for virtually anything you need was a given?

have you tried to create your own custome styles with the style editor after all your paying $500.00+ for your arranger T4....surely this should be included?
