Sorry off topic fellas (and gals). A question to the fellow guitar players here. Anyone have an idea on what a good condition Ovation Celebrity (model CC 026s) goes for these days?

I'm wanting to sell mine (I have the original Ovation) hardshell case for it too.

The last time I saw them there had a list price of $599, but the street price was about $499. It has been a few years since they were last manufactured, so finding a new one on the internet is next to impossible. Used prices, naturally, will depend upon condition. You may want to Google for more current prices.

There's a used one in fair/good shape at a consignment shop here in Lexington marked $329, but the owner said "make an offer".

Ovations are great guitars (two of my main working guitars are a Celebrity double-neck and a nylon string), but they don't appreciate much, if at all (most models).

Of course, the recession has affected the used guitar market in a major way. My collection has taken a hit big enough to buy
a couple of nice new homes, a couple of cars, motorcycles, motor scooters and a bakers dozen of keyboards.


That sucks, but the market will come back when home prices do.
