Wow, here's an eclectic mix of songs played & rec on Tyros 4. Be sure to select YouTube 480p playback mode for best audio quality, and don't forget to put on a pair of high quality headphones. I think there are a number of songs in this diverse song collection to appreciate.

Demo 1 - 9:42

Demo 2 - 8:28

Demo 3 - 9:17

Demo 4 - 9:20

Demo 5 - 9:40

Hi Scott, I'm seeing so much fluff from you on SZ about the T4, but not much about the multitude of bugs that have rendered it useless for the power-user.

I also think the T4 has great potential, but its features and sounds are worthless if it's not reliable...

Chony, Like I said on the phone with you, I totally concur with you regarding the legitimate issues that you so well documented on your videos and agree that Yamaha needs to fix them asap, but you also told me that Yamaha now acknowledges them, so its now time to give them a chance to correct them.

In a nutshell, the issues include not being able to edit and save styles reliably. When you attempt to re-edit & save an edited preset style more than once, often the style volumes aren't retained correctly, or if you change a style part's voice assignment it may revert back to the original preset voice, especially if a style is edited and saved more than once, and/or saved with another name.

I'm hopeful Yamaha will be able to fix and correct these issues with an OS upate soon. Fingers crossed

The other problem that I experienced once was the keyboard's RH volume dropping 30% in volume out of nowhere and requiring a reboot of kb to fix it back to normal. This only happened one time though.

As software development is my profession I am sure they will be able to attend to those easily repeatable bugs very soon.

However until they have repeatable steps for the "keyboard's RH volume dropping 30%" then that bug will be hard to address. Scott, if you do find a way to repeat that bug reliably you definately should let them know.

Chony, please do not misconsture my comment, I'm not trying to be a wise guy here. But since your so dis-satisfied with the keyboard why didn't you return it? I can only speak for myself, but if I buy a product that I'm not happy with I can assure you it gets returned in a matter of days after purchase.

I appreciate Scott and others providing examples from the T4. Its very useful to many of us.

That said, I'm being as frank as I can be here. The more I hear of the T4, the LESS enamored with it I become. As cool as the voices are, they're something I might use twice a night at the most. The drums are better, but nothing else really blows me away at all. I still say the upgrade from T1 to T2 was the most meaningful across the board.

Factor in the bugs regarding saving styles, which is my lifeblood when using an arranger. (I don't use MIDI's or MP3's.) There's no way I'd plunk down that much money to buy one. Maybe in time I'll change my tune, but for now...a used T3 is looking better and better to me.

I'll keep listening, for sure.

ps-Can we all agree the Tennessee Waltz should never be performed over a Gospel Swing style? Ugh. The other stuff was interesting and I do think the drums have really improved over previous Tyros'.
