Since I decided to keep my T3, I want to improve the quality of it's sound. I read that the MS02 does not portray it's potential and want to get something wwhich will improve but not break the bank doing so.

I know some have been using the Z-2300, and the Z-5500 but is there anything new on the market?? I can go with smaller reference monitors 6.5" or smaller but want some decent power on the bi-amps and some decent bass response. If reference, I would use a mixer to control the EQ. Those Yamaha HS-5Ms look promising.

Any new suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I still have a couple of sets of Z2200s and 1 Z5500. They are GREAT for the money, or even if they were much more.

I'm using Logitech Z2300...excellent sound, and terrific value.

If its for studio use, these usually get good write ups and are not overly expensive. (Thinking of getting a pair of Rokit myself)

Great, they're on my list too. I'm reading good things about the Yamaha HS80Ms and the HS5ms. I've got a couple of Event TR8s in my office/studio and may move them out to the Family room and replace them with the HS80Ms. My T3 is in the Family Room. To keep the cost down, though, I may consider the Z-2300 since I've read a lot of good stuff about them on this forum. The problem with the MS02 is that there's no power on the mids and highs - only 20Watts per channel is just way too little for enhancing the tonal qualities of a good synth/arranger. That sub puts out very little on the lower end. I think I read there's just no mids on the MS02 and I really agree with that.

I have used my Z2200's until I got my Bose. Now I find the subwoofer too loud for my TV, even turned way down. Any way to muffle it ?
