Hi Donny.

It's not easy to explain, you really need to watch something like this video where the developer himself tries to explain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU_rG0w0bsA&feature=related

The lights are not just for show, they actual interact with each other and there are different modes to them. It's actually a very complex piece of kit.

Regards
James

Guys, I didn't go out looking for this type of headphone, but received these as a thoughtful xmas gift from my sister. When flying, or riding the subway (BART) under the bay into San Francisco the high pitched sound can get very annoying and distracting, often competing & literally drowning out the music over normal headphones. I've got a friend that has the much more expensive Bose Quiet Comfort headphones and think they feel more comfortable and probably has better fidelity, but for $49 (and because I received them as a gift), the Sharper Image works & sounds very good, especially for canceling out surrounding noise. Even in the house, it removes all the surrounding external noises (refrigerator, central heating, computer fans, etc) so can even enjoy wearing them even when not listening to music.

My Audya 76.
In spite of bad press, the best keyboard I have ever had. I also got a Helicon Voicelive Touch, an incredible unit.

I told the kids not to get me anything, but they never listen to their dear, old dad. They bought me a case of Margaretta Mix in assorted flavors. I'm enjoying one right now, celebrating another Ravens win.

The big present was the one I gave to myself--that 33-foot Morgan Out Island. Can't wait for sailing season to get underway. If you're wondering what this has to do with music, well, as I posted earlier in the month the Morgan is going to take me south where I'll be playing Tiki Bars in trade for slip rent. Yep, playing Jimmy Buffett music in Jimmy Buffett land is the way I want to spend my ensuing winters.

Cheers,

Gary

An early Santa brought a G70 at a fantastic price. Weighs as much as one of Santa's reindeers, but I am happy.

She's gonna' be sittin' in the shade of the Bimini top, enjoying those cool, tropical breezes and sippin' an ice cold Mint Julep. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.
