As we're all waiting for the new OS, I'd like to address a problem I had when I upgraded to 4.0b. Since the transfer of many files was necessary, I invested in the special PC connector to link my computer directly to the sd1. (Computer is pentium 4 2.8) I wanted to save time and avoid using disks. To my surprise, this connection took at least twice longer to acheive the transfer. I've since gone back to using disks, but I'd be surprised if everyone out there is still using disks. Lately I tried downloading midifiles with the connector, it would have taken 4 hours for 150 files. I cancelled the transfer and did it in 45 minutes with disks.

4 hours is too much. I just sent 100 midi files in SD1 HD in 10min
it looks that you have to make some modifications to your computer COM port
just open the systen in control panel
and try to increase the bit per second setting and (or ) the transfer buffer(just do some test)
