Just wondered if anyone had any sound/style demos from the old arrangers, such as the G-1000, G-800, and VA-76. Are there any other Roland arrangers with 76 keys(other than the ones mentioned, and G-70, E-60 and EXR-7)?
The VA's sounds are markedly newer and a lot better than the g-800 - 1000 Plus the VA has other features like a touch screen for faster operation. But I would say it's a lot superior to the G-1000 for sounds...can't go wrong with the VA ,I would say. It's the newer Roland arranger keyboard after the G-70 etc. Second or third generation of sounds. I don't know much about the G-1000,but I'd go for the VA. Guitar sounds, sax etc are really top quality. The sunds of the G-1000 are outdated in comparison, although the g1000 might well be a nice arranger workstation too

At the price, I'd take a hard look at an E60 before you go older - there is quite good buzz on it, over at the main SZ arranger forum. Maybe even a used G70......?
