Hi guys,

I had a look at the VA-7. Being a korg guy all along, I was pleasantly surprised at the sweetness of the styles and ofcourse, the variphrase stuff just blew my senses. With the limited time on hand I could not assertain if the sounds (tones) on board can be edited by applying/ adjusting different ADSR parameters on the volume envelope as well as the filter envelope. On some tones, I could hear the filter change when I operated the ribbon controller so I suppose its all there. However I'd be much obliged if u guys could just post me your views. Thanks.
dev.

Hi Dev,

Compared to Korg, Roland arrangers are very limited in the sound edit area. Roland arrangera are no synths in this respect! However, there are some editing possibilities. You canīt create totally new sounds, but you can add some really nice editing effects (filter env, vol, etc) to the existing sounds. You can also address these parameters to various controllers. (Like aftertouch, ribbon, etc.)
