i am still susing a roland em-2000 keyboard
would i see a real big difference in sounds with the e-50?
i do lots of gigs playing with standard midi files
can someone help me?
also, i did read in the past several problem with this machine
is it safe to buy one now?

If your screen is still good on your EM2000[pixel problems]...I would keep using the EM2000..
You still would not have a mic input with the E-50...
You would gain make up tools on the E-50, but I think over all the EM2000 is the better board...Most of the sounds on the EM2000 are equal to the E-50..maybe a few are better on the E-50.

The EM2000 was a top of the line instrument..The E-50 is not..

The first E50 I got, the card reader wasn't working but I think it was simply not hooked up internally. I picked up another one and everything is fine. I'm actually enjoying it more than the E80 I have. Much less weight to carry also!

Stay with the EM2000. It's a well built board. The 50 is toy like.

You did not mention that in your first question. This does make a difference to your decision.
