I am planning to buy a TYROS 2 here in the US to use it in Europe. looks like TYROS 2 doesn't have an external power adapter, just a power cord. I called YAMAHA, they told me that I need to use a stepdown convertor. Those of you who own it (in the US/Europe) does it show any indication on/under the keyboard whether the built-in adapter inside supports 110-240V.

I am hoping that it is a universal adapter although Yamaha said otherwise.

I see from your profile that you live in Walnut Creek, CA. I live in the East Bay as well, just a short distance from you. Anyway, I own Tyros2 which I purchased here in the US, and looking at the UL sticker afixed to the bottom of my keyboard, it simply reads:

Yamaha Digital Workstation
Model: Tyros2
120 V
45 W
60 Hz
Made In Japan

Its suitable for 110 V up to 240 V AC 50/60 HZ

That's interesting. The ones here in the USA shows 120V only. But the ones in Europe 110-240V? Does that (110 - 240 V) show on the label under the keyboard?

If that's the case I wonder YAMAHA USA is misleading the consumers with an incorrect label. One would think they should all be the same? Otherwise why would the keyboards sold in Europe support 110V but the ones sold in USA don't support 240V

I am really curios about the builtin adapter and wonder if it is a universal adapter or not?
