Hi
the dgx205/305/505, midi was via usb cable connected to p.c. They had no midi in/out sockets.
I think the earlier models like the dgx500 had conventional midi sockets.
Don't know why yamaha decided to do it this way as it makes them useless if you want to add a sound module directly.
best way is to check out the specifications.

I heard about some problems with midi functions with for example PSR295, DGX205 and higher (usb midi). Some users have reported that the midi functions can be used only with a computer. Is it right ?
Is there the same problem with arrangers with classical midi input/output such as DGX500, and the new PSR E-203/303 ?
Thank you for your answers.
